Hi pies! I’ve really been focused today so I put this on the backburner.
So to speak!
How are ya’ll? I feel fantastic. I just love getting stuff done and knowing the weekend is almost here.
Yesterday I got in a good hour of cardio plus a bicep workout before my AM class. I drew lots of really cool pictures during class.
Feeling very doodly for some reason. I listen way better when I’m doing stuff!
I had some overnight oats while I beautified at the gym: 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 scoop vanilla soy protein powder, and 1/2 cup vanilla nf yogurt. Plus a packet of stevia, some cinn, and vanilla for pizazz.
I know, right? Vomituous to look at, but SO creamy and goopy. I love this! I can’t (easily) make oatmeal at work so this is a nice alternative.
For an AM snack, I ate two DELICIOUS clems.
Love those. So portable and they make my office (and thumbs) smell very citrusy and clean.
Lunch included something new and interesting – pre-marinated sesame peanut tofu! I brought it with 1/4 cup Kashi pilaf (it’s underneath) and a bunch of spinach, broc slaw, and a red pep. Please ignore the Diet Coke can in the corner. At least I’m not buying it! Just stealing it from other people’s labs.
After I made a dent in the veggies, I added the tofu and pilaf on top.
Very yummy. They have a tomato basil kind too, which I’m definitely buying this wknd.
I was a busy bee yesterday afternoon (bzz) and was totally relieved to sit down and indulge in my favorite bar of all time: Balance yogurt honey peanut!
It has pretty good staying power, which allowed me to actually cook something when I got home. Usually I’m just ready to tear up the kitchen. It feels like I’ve been making lame attempts at cooking all week. I sometimes miss being an undergrad and spending more time at home, but I guess this is good for me because that schedule isn’t realistic for when I enter the work world.
That’s still a few years away. Yay!
I roasted a cute yellow acorn squash, which I brushed with a little marinade of maple syrup, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and perhaps a little canola oil.
I also tried half a Gardenburger riblet. I’ve seen these around and it’s true – they are really good! Perhaps a little calorie-dense but probably very worth it.
That dinner ended up being a wee bit small. I caught up on DVR (ATL Housewives – I am obsessed with Dwight Eubanks – and Top Chef season premiere) and was ready for my trail mix around 8:00.
I’ve realized that part of the reason why I love this mix so much is because I eat it very slowly. I let everything dissolve in my mouth, one piece at a time (except the peanuts, which I leave out, and the raisins, which I eventually have to chew) so it lasts for up to two hours. Yes, my teeth feel extremely disgusting upon completion of this ritual, but then I get up, floss, brush with my Sonicare, and rinse and feel fresh and sparkly.
I also use a tongue scraper. It’s so disgusting and satisfying at the same time!
Look who loves to nestle on top of the stove after Mommy makes something in the oven.
Mista Henry. Precious. Look at that sweet face! His fatness is totally cute. When he lays on my lap or legs, his stomach is like a big furry heating blanket just sprawling all over the place!
Well, it’s about time for me to cut out of here an hour earlier than planned. I hope you have a GREAT weekend full of relaxing, socializing, facial masks, or whatever you are into! What are you doing, actually? I will be back at work tomorrow, but Sunday I’m FREE as a bird and will take advantage of every moment to spend with my sweet hubcap.
Ta ta!

Actually, I don’t have any plan for the weekend. the weather doesn’t seem to improve,..probably raining all weekend. And as I was so un productive this week, I’ll have to catch up during weekend… grrrrrrrrrrr……hate myself of not being productive and be able to totally study-free at weekends.

Aw, Henry! SUCH a cutie pie. Love the positioning of the clems… like a cute pair of ta-tas. I’m sitting on the couch about to write my blog post, and feeling tired from not sleeping and a bit sore from yoga. I’m excited for pilates tomorrow morning, tho. Don’t know if I’m going to work tomorrow or not. Whoa, girl, you got mayjuh restraint on the trail mix! No way I could make that last two hours.

Let me know if you want me to send you some!
