Andrea: No more dirty clothes!

My washer is back!  The repair man said that a lot of times he’ll find small foreign objects that got sucked into a pump that somebody forgot to take out of their pockets, like hair clips.  In mine, he found a whole sock.  It wasn’t even one of my thin bootie socks that I wear to the gym.  It was an acutal tube sock.  He was cool and didn’t charge me for a $150 service call since washers are designed so that tube socks won’t get sucked down into the pump and this was a fluke.

This morning, in order to avoid another oatmeal in the trash scenario, I just had some cereal and a banana.  It was good, but not filling.

That, coupled with a co-worker that annoyed the shit out of me in our weekly Tuesday staff meetings led me to eat this at about 10:30.

There’s usually pastries at these meetings and I never have one.  But, he pushed me to my breaking point so I needed half an almond croissant when the meeting was over.  Then I had the other half 15 minutes later.

I still had some leftover porcini mushroom mac & cheese that I brought as leftovers on Friday.  I heated it up and had two bites and didn’t want to eat it anymore.  It was just kind of gross reheated and although I probably could have suffered through it, I knew I was going home in a bit to meet the repair man so I decided I’d make something else at home instead.

This was much better:

A flat-out wrap with veggies, stone ground mustard and a drizzle of Annie’s tuscan dressing.  The stuff that looks like cheese is shredded carrots and broccoli slaw.  It was so good, that I think I’ll bring this for lunch tomorrow :)

I also had a free Kashi cookie that I got in the mail yesterday.  Heather from Hangry Pants mentioned Kashi’s free cookie promotion on her blog so of course I had to get one!

It was really good, but in my opinion, not worth the calories.  Not something I’ll be stocking my pantry with.

My friend and co-worker (a non-annoying one) had a birthday today, so I took her to the local bar near the office (the only one) for an after work bday drink.  The bar had broccoli cream soup so I had a bowl of that as well as a few fries – I’d say about 10?

My vodka tonic is behind the soup - just one though!

The soup was good, but it must have been too soon to eat after my wrap because I only ate a little over half of it before I was full.

I guess I haven’t been very good with “intuitive eating” this week.  Probably because I just make/heat/open something and hope for the best and it usually works out.  But, I haven’t really been in to any of my meals the last few days and I’ve never rejected this much food before.  I don’t like it, so I’m gonna try and work on that :)

  6. Have you ever had a Zbar? I got one of those kashi cookies, too. To me it tasted more like a copycat-Zbar… only not as good!

  10. I had the Kashi sample the other day. I agree that it was ok, ut not worth the calories. I’ve had better cookies then that in the past with fewer calories that I will stick with.
