The Cowboys lost…to the REDSKINS! I could have handled just about any other loss, but not to them! Romo didn’t step up today and he really disappointed me. But, not as much as when he started dating Jessica Simpson.
Charlie and Stephanie were going to grill, but I didn’t know if it was going to be before or after the game, so I brought a little snack. I picked up a plum last time I was at the grocery store becuase I had NEVER had one before! Stephanie gave me some plum tips for next time (apparently black ones are sweeter – I didn’t even know there were more than one plum variety) which I will gladly follow because it turns out that I like plums!

I mixed the plum with the rest of my Chobani vanilla yogurt from this morning. I liked the vanilla a lot more than I did when I first tried it in San Diego. It didn’t seem as chalky this time. My other snack was some homemade guacamole that Stephanie whipped up. It was super yummy, but now I have garlic burps because I ate so much!
While we watched the game I had a couple beers – the very last of my beer club of the month stash. I’ve been hanging on to these two for over a month and today was the day. No pic, but know that they were thoroughly enjoyed!
Charlie and Stephanie grilled after the game – veggies for me and burgers for everyone else!
I also had some Stash organic green tea in one of their mugs that made me nostalgic for home
When we got home I had a little bit of my Trader Joe’s cherry chocolate chip soy ice cream.
I feel like I have had a ton of veggies this weekend, which is a good thing, but I am definitely feeling the needs for some grains this week. I think I need to head to the kitchen right now and get a head start. Erin’s best bread ever to the rescue
Erin and I haven’t had a chance to confer on the results of the Blogger Secret Ingredient challenge today, so we’ll have to announce a winner tomorrow (or later today if you’re reading this on Monday morning). It will be a tough one!

NEVER tried a plum? Wow. No way. Plums are awesome. Glad you liked it
And yep, I definitely think the dark are sweeter. I like them a lot more than the lighter ones. And I still like the light ones. So you should try the dark.
That guac looks amazing too. Especially if it’s as garlicky as you make it sound. Garlic makes everything great.

does that mean you’ve never had a pluot either? they’re nice and sweet, too!

Your grilled veggies look delicious. And the guac also looks like a green cloud of goodness. I love guac.
I’m admit it’s pretty shocking that the Redskins won, but it put my boyfriend in an extremely good mood so I guess I was happy as well. And honestly being a redskins fan is difficult because they lose soooo much- it was about time they pulled through and actually won a game.
Happy Monday!

Haha I’m a late “plum-mer” as well XD And now I’m completely hooked! The red ones are a little sour though, black ones are the way to go!
Dayummm the soy ice cream looks GOOD! Does it taste different from normal ice cream?
Can’t wait to find out who the winner of the secret ingredient challenge is!

I just now saw your comment to me, asking if I’ve used Living Harvest’s hemp protein powders – I use them EVERY SINGLE DAY for my morning protein shake!!

Oatmeal – usually soy ice cream is not as creamy as regular dairy ice cream, but the taste/flavors are usually good. I’m not much of a texture person, so it doesn’t bother me. BUT, this TJs soy ice cream is really good and tastes pretty darn creamy!
Veggie Girl – I am going to get that hemp powder!
Heather – I DO like the cupcake chair pic!
Lauren – I won’t hold it against you!

Mm, nothing like homemade guacamole! Plus grilled veggies? Plus football? Sounds like the a pretty much perfect day! Although it is too bad that the Cowboys lost to the Redskins – sheesh
That cherry chocolate chip soy ice cream looks fabulous! Much better than cow or breast milk versions
Haha – I’ve never tried soy but if it’s as good as everyone says it is I must get me some!
