Rose over at On a Lobster Placemat (the cleverest blog name EVA!) has tagged us to pick this week’s Blogger Secret Ingredient.
So, in honor of the autumnal equinox, this week’s secret ingredient is:
What is more autumn-y than a crisp apple straight from the orchard? Or grocery store. Same diff.
We’re gonna mix it up a bit and as an incentive for tapping into your apple genius, we are (well really, Erin is) going to send a loaf of EXTRA SPECIAL & FABULOUS OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD bread to the person who posts/sends in the most original or creative use of apples in a meal or snack. This bread is worth fighting over, so we expect to see some brilliance peeps!
You know the rules, if you post a recipe, link it back to our site so that we can give you credit for it. And if you’re a non-blogger, but avid reader, and want to play along at home, just email us the recipe!
We’ll post all the recipes and decide on a winner Sunday night. Happy eating!

I was hoping apples too! I just had a big bowl of straight-up-no-seasonings-but-cinnamon cooked apples and wow. Nothing like it when they are so fresh in season. I’m definitely in for this challenge.
