I love Robin Sparkles.
I did a marathon shopping trip today – two malls and a total of 5 hours. My left foot hurts now. I got a ton of new fall stuff though, mostly in black and gray. That’s pretty much all I wear with the exception of the occasional pink item.
I had my oatmeal at 10:30 this morning and I didn’t realize I was hungry until after 3! Since I was at the mall, I hit the food court. I was really craving Indian food, but this mall didn’t have anything like that. But, I managed to find something relatively healthy at a place called Steamers. I had spinach & noodle dumplings, jasmine rice, edamame and a little bit of chili sauce.
I was pleasantly surprised that the dumplings were STUFFED with spinach – I felt like I was actually getting a vegetable.
After more shopping and errands, I headed home and cleaned the house a bit to work up an appetite for dinner. I wasn’t craving anything which was really frustrating because whenever that happens, I just end up standing in front of the refrigerator staring at things I don’t feel like eating getting hungrier and hungrier. Finally, I was inspired by Erin to have breakfast for dinner. I figured it would be an easy way to get some veggies. Plus, it was a good excuse to eat two big pieces of Erin’s bread!
In my scramble I had soy cheese, 1/2 red bell pepper, 1/2 zucchini, and 5 cremini mushrooms. I toasted the bread in the oven and slathered it in Earth Balance. If I wasn’t so full I’d have another piece for dessert!
Now I’m relaxing and watching Pride & Prejudice (the newest version). I love this movie and watch it all the time. I’m inspired by Erin again, so I think I’ll leave you blog peeps with a question:
What is your go-to movie that you like to watch over and over again?
Besides P&P, my other one is Anchorman: Legend of Ron Burgundy. It truly is Will Ferrel’s masterpiece

I can’t believe you got that meal at the food court! That’s awesome. I wish we had good places like that.

Glad your back and feeling better Andrea (I know, I’m slightly behind on the times)!
I love the look of those dumplings and am so impressed that you were able to find them at the food court!
Ok, I am in LOVE with the newest version of P&P. My roommate left it for me over the summer and I watched it over and over again! I also like the super long one with Colin Firth. Jane Austen is one of my favorites! Other than that, I’m a sucker for pretty much all romantic comedies. I always watch Love Actually at Christmas, and sometimes in July if I’m missing the holidays

I don’t think I have a go-to movie, maybe because I’m so out of touch with what’s out there??? I don’t think I’ve seen a recent movie in I-don’t-know-how-long….. sad, huh? Any ideas?
I had one of those no cravings, stand with the fridge door open types of evenings on Thursday, and boy are they frustrating. Your solution sounds tasty though – I usually just end up with a boring salad and rice on days like that, or a baked sweet potato.

I’m so glad you went shopping, although I’m sorry your left foot hurts! LOL!
Those dumplings look truly succulent! I just wanna squeeze ‘em!
My go-to movie: Zoolander.

I WENT SHOPPING TOO TODAY!!! Love it
My “go-to” movie that I watch over and over again = “Imitation of Life” (it’s a classic movie from the 1950’s).

It must have beent he day for shopping because I went (again) too! I agree with everyone that said that your food court food looks impressive!
I have a couple of movies that I could watch a billion times over but one of my favs is The Shawshank Redemption.

That is some serious shopping. I love wearing black and grey! Those dumplings look v. good. Nice and overstuffed.
I am really bad at watching movies over and over. I wish I could because it seems nice. In college, my roommate and I watched Notting Hill every night at bed time for like three months. I live Julia Roberts.

You know shopping is serious when you have to stop to eat!!
Hmm go-to movie? That’s tough, I don’t think it’s always been the same, but I think right now it would have to be My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I just love all of the characters and silliness.
Have a great Sunday!

I don’t really like watching movies all that much (well, I do, but just once in a while) but my go-to’s that never fail me are: My Best Friend’s Wedding, Blue Crush, The Notebook, and Romeo and Juliet (the Leo and Claire version). Love ‘em!
